Creative Practitioner – Tepee Village

As lead practitioner for Pennar School together with the children we designed an outdoor learning area through a series of creative workshops. The project was aimed to help the pupils develop their literacy skills. By devising creative workshops based around the tepees I encouraged the children to learn the creative habits of mind and put them into practice within the activities.
As the Tepee Village would be used by the entire school the year four class invented rules to protect the tepees and keep anyone who used them safe. They now take it in turns on their breaks to be ‘Tepee Keepers’.
